I thought this was a neat GIF, New GIF Shows Far Side of the Moon Passing by Earth. (I'm a sucker for animated GIFs - digital flipbooks.) Then I read the comments left by what appears to be an astute David Brinton. I'm paraphrasing "this half revolution of the earth takes 12 hours to occur. But look at the clouds, they don't move for the entire 12 hour period..." Since no rebuttal's been posted, he may be right. Could this be a digital hoax put up by two stalwart organizations?
